There is a familiar feeling among parents whose children are struggling with substance use disorder. It’s the feeling they get when their child doesn’t call or come home at night. It’s the feeling that happens when they can’t control the outcome of their child’s behavior. It is the worry that their child may be sleeping on the streets or associating with others who could harm them.
And it’s the feeling they get as they begin to recognize the toll that this terrible disease takes on the rest of the family. There is help available for these parents, and your support makes the difference for more than 1,000 of them each year.
 
Parents Helping Parents, Inc. (PHP, Inc.) is a 501 (c)(3) organization. Our mission is to be there for parents, caregivers, and families with a child who struggles with substance use disorder. We promote the understanding that parents and families must embrace their own mental health and well-being to be able to help their struggling child.
 
Today, we are asking for your help. We are asking for a contribution.
 
You may never walk through our doors, but your support will ensure that we can keep those chapter doors open for those parents who make the decision to come to a chapter meeting. You may never need to call, but your support will ensure that there is always a volunteer parent on the other end of the phone for that mom or dad who feels like they are alone in this battle and calls for help. You may never need to look for answers regarding a child’s substance use, but your support will ensure that we can continue to offer parents our free lending libraries, an informative website, and tons of resources through all our chapters.
 
You may never need Parents Helping Parents, Inc. services but we can almost always guarantee that you will know someone who does. Please help us be there for them when they reach out.
